Ajanta Ellora, India – Asia

Ajanta Ellora caves are two of the most enticing tourist destinations in India. A visit to India is considered incomplete without visiting this wonderful place. It is situated near the city of Aurangabad, Maharashtra.

Ajanta Ellora caves depict the story of Buddhism, from 200 BC to 650 AD. Almost 29 caves were constructed as secluded retreats of the Buddhist monks. They used to preach and perform sacred rite and rituals in the ancient centers of learning. A number of caves show panels describing stories from the Jatakas, which were stories of various incarnation of Buddha. You can find images of various nymphs and princess there.
